It seems 2022 is the year of health for Australians, as more and more people are looking to focus on their health.

A new survey by comparison site Finder has found that one in four Aussies will try a new diet in 2022.

We’re not surprised people are beginning to focus on their health – it’s been a stressful time with many comfort eating or not being able to exercise properly after being so restricted during the pandemic!

But you don’t ever need to ‘diet’ again if you are following The Healthy Mummy’s 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge. We are not a quick fix diet for weight loss, we are a lifestyle overhaul!

What’s more, a further 6% will be attempting a vegan diet this year. 8% will try one new diet while 7% try two diets and 9% (1 in 10) will attempt three diets or more just this year alone!

It seems the younger generation, or Gen Z (born between 1997 and 2012), are more interested in starting a diet, with 40% planning on dieting, while 4% of baby boomers (born between 1955 and 1964) are keen.

Gen Z are keen to go vegetarian (21%), Gen X (born between 1965 and 1980) will be more likely to follow a low carb veto diet (8%).
